Kenya Proposes Standards for Carbonated and Non-carbonated Soft Drinks and Energy Drinks
On 14 July 2026, the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) published draft standards for public review, including "DEAS 29-1:2026 Water-based flavoured drinks — Specification — Part 1: Carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks" and "DEAS 29-2:2026 Water-based flavoured drinks — Specification — Part 2: Energy drinks". The deadline for submitting comments is 14 September 2026. The documents are draft East African Standards under public review and have not yet entered into force.

Chile Proposes Amendments to Sanitary Requirements for Imported Chilled or Frozen Pork
On 13 July 2026, the Agricultural and Livestock Service of Chile (Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero, SAG) published a public consultation on a draft resolution titled "Establishing sanitary requirements for the importation into Chile of chilled or frozen pork and repealing Exempt Resolution No. 3,397 of 1998". The consultation period runs from 13 July 2026 to 14 September 2026. The document is a draft resolution and has not yet entered into force.

Spain Reminds Companies of New EU Labeling Requirements for Fragrance Allergens in Cosmetic Products
On 14 July 2026, the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios, AEMPS) issued a notice reminding companies of the implementation requirements under Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 of 26 July 2023 amending Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 as regards labelling of fragrance allergens in cosmetic products. The new labeling requirements will apply from 1 August 2026.
